Say Hello To Nathalik

NathalikOur friend Nathalie Kronal is currently working on her post-graduate at the TransMedia studies in Bruxelles and has an infectious passion for mapping and visualizing complex datasets. And the best thing is that she has agreed to write about all those things, here on the STUPID blog.

Data visualization is still a very young science, and that’s what makes it truly interesting – It has long been possible to analyze data in various ways, but visualizing it will ultimately open up new understandings about the society we live in. Here’s what Nathalie says about it:

According to me, data visualization has to tell something about the society we live in.
That’s why I want to use data that measures contemporary activities, ideas or movements. I have a strong interest in representing human behavior, for instance how individuals and the mass public use certain technologies and what they think about them

Why on STUPID, you might ask? First of all, because it’s interesting and relevant to the stuff we do. Secondly, it is part of a bigger picture, and hopefully Nathalie won’t be the last contributor to the STUPID Blog.

Yesterday Nathalie Kronal – or Nathalik – wrote her first blog post on the STUPID blog.
