LEGO Shoot
Here’s a few pics from a LEGO commercial shoot we did right before christmas. It was all shot on RED, which is officially my new favourite way of doing it. Yay!
On the set Lars Neckelmann is busy directing kids, Thomas Korsholm is behind the camera, with Gitte Gammelgaard pulling the focus into place. Viggo(firm) did the lights, Annika made it all run smoothly, and I was coordinating the shots for the visual effects and post production. Great day.

ARoS has followed Danish artist Erik A. Frandsen over the years and with its collection of 32 paintings, sculptures, videos and neon installations in addition to more than 250 graphics has acquired many of his most important works. The contrasts in Erik A. Frandsen will be put in play, and the public will be obliged to move physically along the narrow neon alleyways, to peep into private and intimate spheres and to be mirrored in the public squares.
You can see this exibition until January 4th ’09.

Malmö is not only a mecca for cheap shopping nowadays, you can also catch the fifth biennial for computer based and technological art, Electrohype 2008, at Malmö Konsthall. The exhibition is supposed to give an updated picture of the scene for newly created electronic art by presenting 14 works by 10 international artists. Probably worth a look… Electrohype runs until 25 January 2009.

We are absolutely thrilled to find that the business paper “Erhversbladet” has written an article about us in todays issue. The emphasis is on how companies can use motion design to turn their identities into living and moving brands. Important stuff!

Check out the Danish Magnum photographer Jacob Aue Sobol, who right now is exhibiting at Brandts here in Odense, with pictures from Tokyo. The exhibition, I Tokyo, runs from December 5 – February 22 and STUPID has designed the exhibition folder(above).
Ingen kommentarerSay Hello to Steffen
Steffen is our new übercool motion designer. Not only is he really wicked with his wacom tablet – he is also well known for his Dj’ing skills and is hosting his own regular night out called Mind Your Head. Damn we are going to throw a STUPID party soon!
We forced him to move (Batman style!) from the cold northern rims of Aalborg city, where he had been working for the advertising agency SHRPA for the last four years, to join us here in the warmer and much friendlier part of Denmark: Odense with the STUPID team.
Say hello to him and look forward to all the cool stuff he will be doing with us.
1 kommentarA Quickie with Dan
Some weeks ago we had a deadline-yesterday kind of thing for a new VH1 show called Dan’s (The host is Dan Rachlin, which hopefully gives some perspective to the name…)
This is what we came up with, and given the short deadline, I think it worked out fine. Hecq did the music.
Ingen kommentarerThe White Concert
The best selling Beatles album, The White Album, turns 40 this year, and was celebrated with a big concert last Saturday in Horsens – The White Concert, which also could bee seen live at DR1. The good old MTV man Ray Cokes was the host of the evening, lots and pots of scandinavian bands played their versions of the loved songs, and last but not least STUPID contributed with the motion graphics. The logo for the show was designed by Siegel Design.
The graphics was commissioned by STV.
1 kommentarI feel a poo coming on!
This is just what the world need. A portable toilet, and it’s eco-friendly. It’s completely degradable and highly functional. This is really what modern society has been waiting for, now you can crap everywhere. You can bring your very own toilet when going camping, trekking or when your attending summer festivals. So when you need to crap on the go, think ShitBox!

The FightNight-event is over and went well. STUPID did the graphics and motion design on this campaign.
The concept is simple. HK Grafisk Kommunikation (the labour union for graphic employees) assigned 3 agencies a wonderful brief: Make an identity and campaign for The Alternative Climate Conference ’09. After 2 months of hard work the agencies shows their keynote at FightNight and the winner got all the honour and glory. This year the victory went to the creative collaboration idéRiget.
