Kreativitet tager tid.
I samarbejdet med vores kunder, er der ofte et behov for at skulle forklare, hvorfor man hverken kan – eller bør – lave et logo på en dag, en hurtig viral film, eller flække et website sammen i en fart. Jeg forstår egentlig godt kundens undren – for vi er jo håndværkerne… er det så ikke bare at slå sømmet i? Men nej, desværre ikke helt. For kreativiteten opstår kun igennem leg, eksperimenteren og den gode tid, der kræves, for at hjernen kan destillere de rigtig stærke idéer frem.
Jeg plejer at sige, at vi som designere “arbejder professionelt” med kreativiteten – netop idet at det er vores ansvar som designere, at nå det bedst mulige kreative resultat, inden for den tid der er til rådighed. Det er til gengæld det, dygtige designere kan: Styre legen, prioritere og derigennem nå til et godt (bedst mulige) resultat indenfor den givne tid. Samtidig mener jeg også helt klart, at det for kunden er en bedre investering, at bruge 80% af tiden på leg, eksperimenter og research og 20% på rentegning og designmanual, end omvendt. Men langt de fleste, prioriterer sjovt nok helst omvendt.

Inspiring article on James Bond opening & other graphic elements
Browsing thru different inspirational sites I stumbled upon the latest article on The Art of the Title Sequence, an article with loads of information and questions to the people behind the Quantum of Solace opening and others graphics in the movie.
After a lot of stir on whether or not a new James Bond movie would find its way to the silver screen it’s apparently on its way, this article makes us wonder what the next opening will bring and of course we are looking forward to new Bond girls and great music on the new soundtrack.

I’m happy and proud to announce that I will be back at TYPO Berlin in may. I will be giving a presentation on the subject of “Passion”, and all I know at this point is that I’m passionate about the stuff we create here at Stupid Studio -and hopefully my passion, experience and cases will transform in to a 1-hour presentation, ready for May.
