Stupid motion on paper
It took a while, but today we got the Creative Circle Award 2009-book in our hands. We were nominated (as the only one) in the category Motion Graphics with our White Concert graphics. Let´s hope we get better competition next year! Motion, web and other online media seldom makes a big impression on paper, including a dvd would make our and others work more justice, but, the book is well crafted, so do check it out.

Modern Art Mecca to Malmoe
Moderna Museet in Stockholm, one of Europe’s leading museums of modern and contemporary art, will soon be opening a branch in Malmö. Good news for us and the region! A new museum buildning is built at Gasverksgatan 22 and will open on December 26.

If you don’t know ‘Socalled‘, it’s time for you to get to know him. Socalled aka Josh Dolgin, is a Canadian rapper and producer, known for his eclectic mixture of hip hop/klezmer/drum and bass and other types of folk music.
I’ve been listening to this dude since his third studio album ‘Ghettoblaster’ which the track ‘You Are Never Alone’ is from and today I stumbled across the video for the track.

While we worked on the Zulu Comedy project we were asked to do the graphics for the trailers that would promote both the Festival and the Galla show.
Out of the entire campaign my personal favorite is the Galla trailer featuring danish actor and host Nikolaj Lie Kaas.

Frisch Luft
Fresh Air is the name of a small exhibition on Austrian design by Pure Austrian Design. It is currently displayed in the hall at ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum. It is a celebration of a long love for austrian design. Besides being an inspiring display, what really warms my heart is the fact that this came about because the guys from LYNfabrikken wanted to show the danes how cool austrian design can be, instead of the, for us danes, usual self-satisfied “hey, look at how great we are” approach.
I know the guys from LYNfabrikken are suckers for furniture design so naturally they wanted to show far more furniture than actually possible. This resulted in a nice little feature. The produced a series of stereographic posters of the non present chairs and handed out 3D goggles.
I don’t know if danes in general have a bad reputation in Austria or if they simply didn’t want their finest design to have unprotected sex while abroad, but almost every piece is covered in, what looked like gigantic inflated rubber condoms.
Anyways, if you are in Aarhus, then stop by ARoS and take a look at Fresh Air. You don’t even have to pay to watch it.

Suddenly everything clicks
It’s official! Apple has finaly added the new magic member to the family.
Magic Mouse – the worlds first Multi-Touch Mouse. The mouse doesn’t have any buttons or a scroller like the Mighty Mouse. The entire surface of the mouse will actually be functioning as a button and connecting is done wirelessly via Bluetooth.
