Yearbook Yourself
yearbookyourself.com is funny stuff… upload a photo and see how you (would’ve) looked … I kinda like myself in the ’56 version, so maybe it’s time to get back to the roots.

Order: 1956, 1964, 1976, 1984, 1990, 2000.
- Actually I think this site is a clever way of advertising all kinds of different fashion brands – Notice how every picture is assciated with three links to external sites. Clever.

This weekend in Århus you can experience the Danish Mobile Film Festival ’08. It’s a film festival dedicated to film productions made with mobile phones. The festival is the first of its kind in Denmark. During the time preceding the festival, five national workshops and two national film competitions concentrating on the mobile phone will be conducted. The festival also looks beyond the Danish borders and cooperates with larger festivals of the same kind worldwide in order to show the latest new films and general tendencies within mobile phone film production.
It doesn’t demand expensive production equipment and post production to make a good film – you only need a great idea!
The Danish Mobile Film Festival ’08 runs the 5th and 6th of september at Filmby Århus. You can read more about the festival here.

With the exhibition ‘Icons for Now’ the Aarhus Art Building presents a remarkable exhibition in the public townscape during the Aarhus Festival. With their colourful paintings nine renowned Danish and international street artists have decorated gables, streets and facades in the area around the Aarhus Art Building as well as at selected spots around town. Map of the locations can be acquired at aarhuskunstbygning.dk.
The participating artists are: André alias Monsieur A (F), Blu (I), Faust (DK), Herbert Baglione (BRA), HuskMitNavn/RememberMyName (DK), Miss.Tic (F), Steve Powers (USA), Victor Ash (F/PT/DK), Zevs (F) and our homeboy from Aarhus Søren Behncke alias papfar (DK).
Wall-E
When I went to see Ratatouille some time ago I was blown away. Yesterday I went to see Wall-E and my expectations were high as hell. But not high enough, since this is hands down the best animated film I have ever seen! Period. (Possible spoiler coming up…) There are so many small perfections to talk about, but the fact that they have managed to do this film with such a small amount of dialogue between the main characters is simply amazing – And this takes the film to a different level.
I wish I worked at Pixar and had been a part of this.

If you’re into album covers, you should go take a look at sleevage.com. Content is still beeing added but there is already lots of great stuff there. It’s basically a blog, but you can’t sort entries by artist, record company, genre or graphic artist /studio. Well… enough talk go have a look for yourself.

Allright… We knew TV 2 was in economic trouble, but now it has come to this… That’s like if the Pope decided not to live in celibacy any longer, and started off by shagging Angela Merkel…

1 kommentarAdbusting In Århus

We all like the new Batman movie and we all like Christian Bale. Some adbusters in Århus have tagged the huge movie poster at Nørreport / Mejlgade with the splash saying “ÆHH – VE DO DÅNS?” (ask somebody to dance).

Last wednesday we were formally invited to receive the prize for the Kulturmaskinen identity competition. With gratulations from the former mayor of Odense, elderman Anker Boye, a near death experience for an unknowing cyclist passing by (See the first image!) and a nice little afterparty, it became a great and memorable day.
The next steps in the process will be very exciting, and hopefully the identity will be integrated well over the months to come.

Tribute To Video Games

We got tired of empty windows and too many post it notes to write to-do’s at. What’s better then, than making a tribute to the 1st generation video games Pong and Space Invaders?

Today the 23rd Odense Filmfestival opens. It’s going to be five days of both good and bad, bust most importantly: A great amount of very different and untraditional films that otherwise rarely makes it to the local cinemas. Check the website and also their special program.
