Finally it´s out there: royalbeer.tv is the new online guide for rock music in Denmark, which we have been working on the last couple of weeks. This will be the place for new upcoming bands to get feedback, inspiration and win prizes for their ass-kicking music. If you stand out as a band, you have the possibilty to become warm-up band for Kashmir or win 50.000 Dkr to start the career for real. All you need is to sign up!

Just before christmas, DR(danish national television) host the opportunity for people in Denmark and Greenland to exchange christmas greetings. It’s been a tradition for many years now, and it seems like its turning in to a Stupid tradition as well. It’s the third year in a row we have had the pleasure of making the graphics for the show.

Took us a while to find it, but now it’s here. The brand new office for Stupid Studio CPH located in the center of Copenhagen. To be precise, Vestergade 4B, 1.
Hours of building furniture are slowly coming to an end and the office is beginning to look really ‘office-ish’.

But not only have we been getting furniture, we’ve also found a new great addition to the Stupid team, Georg Rune Andersen. Very experienced and talented motion graphics dude with a past at MTV and Danmarks Radio. Furthermore, Matthias Flügge Hansen is added to the roster as project manager and head of Stupid Studio CPH.

Peeing at night sucks. This is why we were asked to make this commercial spot for the medicalfirm Ferring, produced by TV2. The message that they wanted to communicate was that there is help for those bothered by frequent nightpeeing. The three handdrawn characters are Ferrings own design, so the task was to make them come alive and look like they really, really needs to relieve themselves… And this was the result.

It took a while, but today we got the Creative Circle Award 2009-book in our hands. We were nominated (as the only one) in the category Motion Graphics with our White Concert graphics. Let´s hope we get better competition next year! Motion, web and other online media seldom makes a big impression on paper, including a dvd would make our and others work more justice, but, the book is well crafted, so do check it out.

The motion graphics we once did for the University of Southern Denmark, De Sammenhængende bånd, is now featured on the Vimeo Channel Nice Type. Unfortunately without sound, but yes – nice type!

While we worked on the Zulu Comedy project we were asked to do the graphics for the trailers that would promote both the Festival and the Galla show.

Out of the entire campaign my personal favorite is the Galla trailer featuring danish actor and host Nikolaj Lie Kaas.

A little while back Immergut came up with an idea to make a comedy festival in Copenhagen. While we worked on the identity concept, Danish TV2 Zulu joined the project. This resulted in a huge collaboration between Immergut and Zulu. They ended up making an online comedy guide to all the danish fun lovers, a week long comedy festival and a huge award show in the Opera(check out the related post). We did a huge amount of the graphic design on this project. The motion graphics done on the award show and festival promotional trailers will be covered in related posts.

It was an awesome project to work on and an amazing event to be part of. Hats of to Lars Hammer from Immergut for tying the hole shit together.

This is sad news. Our friends at Team Karate have thrown the towel in the ring, and is now officially shutting down their booking and live concerts in Odense. This makes us sad, because they brought so much good music and awesome events to our town.
